California Community Foundation Receives Grant from Ford Foundation
Foundation: California Community Foundation, Ford Foundation
The Ford Foundation gave $1.5 million to California Community Foundation to give children in impoverished communites the same learning activies enjoyed by the wealthier individuals.
The grant is part of Ford's recently launched $50 million effort in six major cities for the redesigning of school proglams and refects a a national move to increase learneing as key strategy to turn around worst-performing schools.
